What this site collects when you send an inquiry, why, where it goes and what you can ask me to do with it.

Last updated October 20, 2026

HyperlaneTravels is a travel brand operated by Pedro Zabala, Independent Travel Agent, affiliated with Cornerstone Travel. In this policy, "HyperlaneTravels", "I" and "me" mean Pedro Zabala operating HyperlaneTravels. It covers hyperlanetravels.com. Questions go to pedro@hyperlanetravels.com.

The short version

  • The site collects what you type into its two forms, plus a little context about how you found the site.
  • I use it to reply to you and to plan, quote and book your trip. I don't sell it.
  • Neither form signs you up for a mailing list.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing me.

What the site collects

Trip inquiry form (Start planning page)

  • Your name and email address (required).
  • The kind of trip (required).
  • If you choose to answer: how many travelers, how you heard about me, what you're a fan of, a rough timeframe, and anything you write in the "Anything else?" box.

Planning tips box (home page)

  • Your email address. The part before the @ is saved as a placeholder name.

Sent automatically with either form

  • Where your visit started: the first page you opened on the site and any campaign tags in that link (such as utm_source or utm_campaign). Your browser keeps this in session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab, and it's only sent if you submit a form.
  • If you first landed on an event page, which event it was.
  • Your browser's user-agent string (the browser and device type) and the address of the page the form was sent from.
  • A shortened one-way hash of your IP address, used to limit repeat submissions and spot abuse. The site's code doesn't store your IP address itself.

What the site doesn't ask for

The website never asks for payment details, passport or ID numbers, or dates of birth. Please don't put them in the free-text box. Anything a supplier needs for a booking is collected when you book, not through this site.

How I use it

  • Client information is used only for planning, quoting, booking, support, and related communications.
  • The visit details above show me which pages and channels bring inquiries, so I know what's useful.
  • The IP hash and a hidden form field keep out spam and automated submissions.

Where it goes

  • Hostinger hosts the website, so every page request and form submission passes through its servers.
  • Each submission, with everything listed above, is saved in the lead database I run for my businesses (ZabalaZone), which is hosted on Supabase.
  • An automation (n8n) on my own server sends me a Telegram message when an inquiry arrives. It holds your first name, the trip type, the number of travelers, which form you used and the time. Your email address and your other answers never go in that message.
  • When I reply to you, our emails stay in my business email account for pedro@hyperlanetravels.com.
  • If the lead database can't be reached, the full submission is written to the site's server log at Hostinger so I can recover it by hand. This only happens when saving fails.
  • I book as an independent travel agent affiliated with Cornerstone Travel, my host agency. When you decide to book, the details the booking needs go to Cornerstone Travel and to the cruise line, hotel, park, event organizer or other supplier involved. Sensitive details are shared with suppliers only when needed to research or manage travel arrangements, and they handle them under their own privacy policies.
  • Google Analytics receives information about your visit, as described in the next section.
  • I'll disclose information if a valid legal request requires it.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and receives your IP address, device and browser details, the pages you view and how you reached the site. Google processes this under its own privacy policy. Google's advertising features are turned off, so this data isn't used for ads. The site itself sets no other cookies.

To opt out, block cookies for this site in your browser or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.

The arcade game at /game saves your progress in your own browser (local storage) and sends nothing to me.

How long I keep it

  • Inquiries that don't turn into a booking are deleted within 24 months of our last contact.
  • For trips I book, I keep the records as long as needed to support the trip and for as long as Cornerstone Travel and the law require.
  • Session-storage visit details are cleared when you close the tab. Rate-limit counters live in server memory for a few minutes.

Your privacy rights

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the right to:

  • know what personal information I collect, use and disclose, and get a copy of it;
  • ask me to delete it;
  • ask me to correct it;
  • opt out of its sale or sharing;
  • limit the use of sensitive personal information; and
  • not be treated differently for using any of these rights.

I don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and I don't use sensitive personal information to infer anything about you. I honor these requests from anyone, wherever you live.

To make a request, email pedro@hyperlanetravels.com with "Privacy request" in the subject. I'll confirm the request comes from the email address you used, and I'll respond within 45 days. Someone you authorize can make a request for you. I may need to keep some records while a booking is active or where Cornerstone Travel, a supplier or the law requires them, and I'll tell you if that applies.

Keeping it safe

The site is served only over HTTPS, the lead database accepts submissions only with a secret key, and I'm the only person with an account that can read the inquiries. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep payment and ID details out of the forms.

Children

The site and its forms are meant for adults planning travel. I don't knowingly collect information from children under 13 through the website. A parent or guardian should send inquiries for a family trip.

Changes

When this policy changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top. The terms of use cover the rest of how the site works.
